OPSIRNIJE O FESTIVALU:

Allegro Dance Center is organizing one of the greatest salsa events in Serbia. The Cubanero Salsa Fest is an international salsa festival that will host the best Cuban salsa dancers and teachers in the world as well as other instructors and artists of national and world renown.
Teachers and artists from Serbia and abroad will take part in the festival at three locations at the same time.
The festival will also include big hot salsa parties with international and local DJs and performances of Cuban dance stars.
The Cubanero Salsa Fest is conceived to be beginner friendly, with numerous beginner workshops where absolute salsa beginners will be able to learn their first steps. Surely, a great number of intermediate and advanced workshops will be a real treat for more experienced dancers.
Our well known band Cubalcanica will have a live performance on the open city square on Saturday evening which will assure a great experience to all salsa fans!

Yanek
Yanek Revilla
From Santiago de Cuba

Ever since the interest in salsa started flourishing in Europe, Yanek Revilla has been committed to bringing the dance from his native island of Cuba and spreading it across Europe. He has worked as a director, choreographer, and leading dancer in the Cuban company Casino.com. He has won the International Festival of Son MatamoroSon in the categories of “Best Rueda de Casino” and “Best Dance Couple.” Also, he participated in the Cuban television program “Bailar Casino” and won the titles of “Best Cuban Casino Dancer” in 2004 and “Best Rueda de Casino” in 2005. He was on the panel of judges for a major international modern dance competition, and he also danced in the theatre performance “Obbalu Aye” at the Heredia Theatre, the second largest in Cuba.
He has won numerous awards in his native country and since 2003, when he made his international appearance, he has earned an undisputed place among the world-class. In 2004, for instance, he smoothly won the world championship of salsa in Italy.
In October 2006 he toured Russia and Ukraine, where he taught at various salsa festivals in Kharkiv, Kiev, St. Petersburg, and Krasnodar and was often invited to be a member of the panel of judges. The tour proved to be such a success that the Association of Salsa Societies awarded him the title of the best foreign instructor in Russia.
Yanek displays not only a captivating charm of perfect body control and an arresting passion for Cuban dances but is also highly appreciated for his extraordinary teaching skills. His greatest assets are the passion and ease with which he transfers his knowledge.
Last but not the least, the popularity of this attractive dancer is reflected in the incredible number of 600.000 admirers across the world who daily download his videos and performances from the Internet.

She was born 1986 in Santiago de Cuba. In 2004 she won the first prize of bailar casino on cubavisionTV. Since 2008 she is travelling through Europe giving workshops in Cuban Ladies Style and Rumba.

Sergio Antonio Larrinaga Morejon

Sergio Antonio Larrinaga Morejon was born the 11th September, 1967 in the City of La Habana, son of Ramon and Rosalia.
He stats his basic studies in 1972 at the primary school "Josè Maria Perez", where the stays until the 5th year, taking part to all pioneer activities, both political and cultural.
then he moed to anothe school in the Matanzas district, the "Clemente Gomez" where he got the 6th level. At this time, his artistical attitude starts to show itself, and for that reason he feels moved to become part of a dance group called "Los Monturritos", that belonged to the "Culture House" i Jovellanos, in the Matanza's district.
With this group, he takes part to the town and "Culture House" pioneer activities.
This kind of activities ends when, finishing his school-cours, his interests are more concentrated into sport and that is why he obtains the next level until the 10th at the Institute E.I.DE. "Luis Augusto Turcios Lima" in Matanzas, taking part to town, province, national and international events, getting important results and, sometimes, being awarded with medals.
These results made easier his entrance to the national youth selection (E.S.P.A.); he obtained the 11th level, participatig then to many intenational events of "A" category.
After the 12th level, in 1985 he matricules to the Higher Institute for Physical Culture, in order to get a diploma in sports as a branch of learning.
During the initial 3 years, sport-life maintained the same way: various participations to provincial, national, international and "A" category competitions, in some occasions being awarded with medals.
Once mor, destiny marks his way, and let him feeling the presure of his artistical attitude, so in 1988, even thugh he has not finished his program of studies yet, he decided to become part of dance company called "Los Pinos Nuevos".
At the end of his scholastic career, in 1990, he started his working life as a qualified teacher of physical culture in different school, in Cotorro and later in San Miguel

yamira

Yamira Sanchez Batista - Cuba


Yamira is a professional dancer and choreographer from Cuba, now living and working in Barcelona in Spain. She gained her vocation as an instructor of salsa, ballet, Cuban and Latin-American folk dances, as well as modern dance in Havana at the National School of Instructors of Art-“ENIA” (“Escuela Nacional de Instructores de Arte”). She was teaching as a professional instructor all over the world: in Stuttgart, Berlin, Cuba. etc.. She was the member of the famous ensemble “Cubamemucho” in London and Madrid.

Apart from that, Yamira worked in Spain and Venezuela with the household names from the sphere of Latin music such as: Celia Cruz, Chayanne, Oscar de Leon, DLG, Thalia i Jerry Riverra. In addition to performing at numerous dancing manifestations, Yamira can be seen in various video clips of the Latin music, such as “Bulías”, a big Spanish hit.

Nowadays, she teaches in her school in Barcelona the following dances: Cuban salsa, Rueda de Casino, “free steps”, Cuban rumba, Afro Cuban rhythms, Yoruba (orishas), Kongo (Palo, Yuka, Makuta). Yamira also teaches modern dance. No doubt that her grace and vast knowledge will contribute to the quality of the festival!

Lili

LILI POLGÁR
Hungary


The dance school Salsa Fuerte teaches Cuban Salsa in 16 cities in Hungary. This school is now one of Europe's biggest salsa school, which leading female teacher is Lili Polgar.
She started to learn the art of movement with rhythmic gymnastics at age of four, than more than a decade of ballet, later learning jazz ballet, and finally she meets Cuban salsa. She fells in love with it immediately and since then she devotes her life to it. She has studied in Cuba, and from several well known Cuban teachers living in Europe, including Jorge Camaguey.

Lili says about dance: "Cuban salsa takes us to a wonderful world, where anything can happen. It gets us free, so we forget the everyday problems and worries, it liberates us from daily stress, and finally we can be ourselves. While we dance, we can be a person like we always wanted to be. It turns the girls, the women to beautiful, attractive ladies. It is up to me to help that miracle to happen. At my ladies style lessons my prior assignment is to unfold the femininity and to liberate the inner inhibitions. I wish everyone to experience the happiness that this dance brought to my life too."

BALÁZS PUSKÁS

Balázs started to dance in 1988-in when he was nine years old. He has been involved and practiced several dance styles, such as acrobatic rock'n'roll, social dances, hip-hop, modern dance and he has mastered the basics of ballet as well. He was a choreographer and a presenter of a TV Show at VIVA TV.

Finally the Cuban salsa become for him his true love with its elemental power, opportunities for improvisation and its creative solutions. He ha learned from number of renowned Cuban teachers in Cuba as well as in different European countries, firstly through private lessons. He is a founder and leader of Hungary's largest salsa dance school - Salsa Fuerte.

Primera - Serbia
Plesna škola Primera je osnovana u avgustu mesecu 2007.godine i za vrlo kratko vreme postaje najbrojnija salsa škola u Beogradu. Škola radi u jednoj od najvećih i najlepših sala u Beogradu u ul. Resavska 28, u okviru Beogradskog plesnog centra, jedinog te vrste na Balkanu. Nakon samo jedne sezone postojanja, Primera postaje najtrofejnija salsa škola u Srbiji. Instruktori, Vladimir Šuković i Jelena Lazarević su oficijelne salsa sudije Srpske asocijacije plesnih organzacija (SAPO), koja je član Međunarodne plesne organizacije – International Dance Organisation (IDO). 2009. godine je Primera postala svetskl šampion u kategoriji Rueda de Casino na Latino Festivalu u Republici Češkoj. Takođe parovi plesne škole Primera su do sada osvojili prva mesta na domaćim državnim takmičenjima, u kategorijama karibskih plesova, kao i kup Jugoistočne Evrope i Macedonia Open.

Dj Tombao is one of the leading teachers of the Hungarian Salsa Fuerte dance school as well known and beloved Salsa DJ in Hungary and abroad. Since 1999, an integral part of his life are the Cuban style, and the cross body style salsa, and of course the music that is related to it. He was a performer in several dance productions and danced not just salsa but carnival samba, merengue, cumbia, mambo and son as well.
He is working as a DJ since 2006. Regularly playing in Budapest, as well as in number of other major cities in Hungary and abroad. The primal characteristics of the music that he plays is its strong character in any version of this wonderful world of music, that inspires the dancers above all. In recent times, timba and son are choices of his direction, but he plays with a great pleasure high-quality, modern, classical Puerto Rican salsa too if the public demands so. As an addition to salsa music, he spices up the parties by playing merengue, bachata and reggaeton. For him, the most important thing is that the crowd enjoys his beats, parties trough the night and goes home very tired.
